Our tips for bringing your family and kids at Pompeii or Herculaneum sites.

1.Bring plenty of water and food. There is only one café that offers average food for inflated prices. The ruins can be quite hot and we recommend you bring a backpack with water and snacks.

2.Bring a Sunscreen. In the ruins there are few shady places and in the summer the sites where the ruins are could be very hot.

3.Comfortable clothes. The place is dusty and there are bumpy roads. We recommend you wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

4.Leave the strollers behind. The Roman roads do not allow you to move easily with a stroller. You can ask at the ticket office where you can leave it.

5. Pompeii is an UNESCO World Heritage Site, please understand the significance of this and realize how fragile it is. For these reasons and for the safety of your children, please do not allow them to climb or play on the ruins.
